THE WALKWAY

During a military reorganization of the fortress dating XIV century, the external walls were equipped with battlements and a guard walkway was built.
Passing through the corner towers, this path sorrounds the entire structure.
It is defined by a continual paving with defensive holes to the outside, which were used to stop enemies with weapons. We can also find a parapet that keeps the guelfo merlons.
A truly evocative place where to admire the landscape and feel the emotion of reaching the turrets’ summit, through a series of stepladders.
